The company that produces Brugal rum was founded in 1888 by Andreas Brugal Montaner, and in 1920 the Brugal distillery produced the first rum in the Dominican Republic. In the following decades, the Dominicans created a range of rums, began exports to the US and built a new distillery in Puerto Plata, one of the most modern in the 1980s.

In 1996, the rums produced by the Brugal family were also exported to Spain, where they later occupied the first position, and the collaboration with the Edrington group substantiated the brand's identity, based on tradition and popularity.

In the Brugal distillery, sugarcane molasses is fermented and distilled twice to obtain the most refined alcohol. For maturation, the Master chooses the best barrels according to the profile he wants to give the drink. The casks used range from American bourbon to fortified Sherry from European producers. Blanco Supremo is the only triple-filtered Brugal rum, a process necessary for alcohol purity and obvious clarity. After distillation, Blanco is aged in American white oak barrels for 2 - 5 years.

APPEARANCE: Clear.

SMELL: Blanco has a subtle fragrance with hints of vanilla, citrus and coconut.

TASTE: Fine, refined and consistent with aromas of coffee, coconut, butter and vanilla.

FINISH: Long and intense.
