Grana Padano is an Italian cheese, made from cow's milk (partially skimmed). It obtained the Designation of Origin Controlled in 1996. The fat content is about 32%, and the paste has a very hard consistency. It is presented in the form of a slightly convex cylinder, weighing between 24 and 40 kg. Approximately 15 liters of milk are required to obtain one kilogram of Grana Padano. It is most often used in the form of a race, in minestrone, with pasta, but also in the composition of some fillings (in ravioli and not only). From the point of view of wine, it is not capricious, getting along well with both white and red wines.
