Zanetti Parmigiano Reggiano is a cheese with a protected designation of origin, being one of the oldest and most appreciated in Italy.
It is obtained from raw, unpasteurized cow's milk, produced according to traditional recipes from northern Italy, in the areas of Parma, Modena, Mantova, Bologna and Reggio Emilia, in strictly controlled production regions.
It matures for 22 - 24 months, having a hard, shiny, golden-brown crust; the inside is straw yellow, with a dense and granular texture, and its aroma is strong, slightly salty.
It is a very easily digestible cheese, with a dry fat content of min. 32%. Extremely rich from a nutritional point of view, it has a high concentration of proteins (320g / kg), vitamins and mineral salts, including calcium and phosphorus.
Its taste is unmistakable, being suitable for all dishes, from appetizer to dessert. It can be eaten plain, cut into cubes or slices and can be served with salads, fruits and red wine. It can also be used as an ingredient for various dishes or topped with hot dishes such as soups, pasta, pizza, risotto and steaks.
