Description
The powder obtained from the carob fruit has a color and taste very similar to cocoa. It is rich in vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber and calcium, being an exceptional antioxidant. It has a very low glycemic index. It does not contain caffeine, theobromine (an organic substance with an exciting effect on the nervous system), gluten, lactose or cholesterol. It can be successfully used as a cocoa substitute, added to milk, cakes, puddings or drinks.
