Sweetener tablets based on sodium cyclamate and sodium saccharin, specially created for diabetics.

Saccharin is a synthetic, non-caloric sweetener, about 300 times sweeter than sucrose.

The sweetening power of saccharin, compared to sugar, varies depending on the concentration of the solution. It is generally accepted that 10 mg of saccharin has a sweetening power approximately equivalent to that of a piece of sugar (5,5 g).

Saccharin is quickly absorbed from the digestive tract and is eliminated, unchanged, almost entirely through the urine, within 24 - 48 hours, being practically devoid of any pharmacological action.

Saccharin is used to sweeten foods and liquids (tea, milk, compotes, coffee, fruit juices), in situations where the ingestion of sugars is not desired.
